Mission Statement
The mission of the Child and Family Services Program is to strengthen family units within the Seneca communities by being sensitive to the traditions and beliefs of the Seneca people.
Services offered are community-based and support the caregiver and their family. Support depends on the needs and strengths of the individual family and their goals. Child and Family Services can provide assistance through self-referral or court ordered circumstances. Below are some examples of services that we provide:
- Assist with referrals to outside and internal agencies such as Behavioral Health Unit, Medical Unit, Dental Unit, Seneca Strong, Department of Social Services, Community Action, and CAReS
- Ensure that the State & County agencies are in compliance with the Indian Child Welfare Act
- Accompany and monitor the County Child Protective Agencies and their investigations
- Continue recruitment for foster and respite parents
- Foster parent classes provided for individuals to make a decision to foster & to help become licensed
- Offer co-parenting classes & a variety of parenting education classes, open to anyone
- Provide court order supervised visitations
- Transportation for clients to professional appointments

Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
*On-Call Hours are 24/7 for Child Protective Services and Seneca Nation Marshall Emergencies
